Sterling Partners has been a green company since
inception in 2002. We exceed mandated environmental compliance and have made conservation and sustainability central in our daily operations.
We commit ourselves to the adoption of cost neutral or cost-saving measures to prevent pollution and minimize our overall environmental impact.
We seek to educate our employees, our customers and our community on environmental responsibility, and to foster an understanding of the importance of making environmentally responsible decisions.
We resolve to become a model for environmental stewardship throughout our industry and the world.
With
97% of our firm telecommuting on a daily basis, last year alone we
saved...
Over 12,000 hours of commuting time to and from our offices -
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) estimates that Sterling
Partners alone saved over 3,855 pounds of hydrocarbons,
28,750 pounds of carbon monoxide, 1,900
pounds of nitrogen oxides, and a whopping 572,500
pounds of carbon dioxide entering our environment.
Over 24,000 gallons of fuel saved! At an average of
over $3.15/gallon - our recruiters saved over
$75,000 in fuel costs, but also eliminated filling up their
cars on a weekly basis.
Approximately 250,000 kilowatts saved by not travelling to
the office. Working remotely requires only modest incremental demands on energy for heating, cooling and lighting needs, and makes effective use of existing building space and facilities.
Telecommuting also produces for our Managing
Partners, some of the happiest, loyal, and hard working employees a
company could have. Year after year, we see:
Increased employee productivity. Each year Sterling
Partners sees a 15%+ increase in productivity. Business studies and anecdotal evidence both suggest that employees are often much more productive at home, where "drop-in" interruptions and meetings are not distractions.
Instead, the recruiter can focus on the job at hand.
Happier employees with a less than 1% turnover rate. Telecommuting arrangements can help workers realize a general improvement in their personal "quality of life."
They avoid long, stressful commutes, thus gaining more time for pleasurable activities and more flexibility for changeable tasks like child and elder care.
